Pulisic’s “Man in the Mirror” hidden shirt celebration explained as USMNT star trolls Mexico and Ochoa

Christian Pulisic’s “Man in the Mirror” celebration that trolled Mexico explained, with the US men’s national team star scoring in the 2-0 win over El Tri before unveiling a jersey hidden.

Teammate Timothy Weah has revealed how he and DeAndre Yedlin asked the equipment manager to make Pulisic’s special jersey, with the post appearing to be a response to comments from Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.

The Chelsea star was able to reveal the message when he led USMNT ahead in the 74th minute of the World Cup qualifying victory.

What did Pulisic’s shirt say?

The Chelsea star’s message was simple: ‘Man In The Mirror’.

What were Ochoa’s comments?

“Mexico has been this mirror in which [the USMNT] want to see each other, “said the goalkeeper TUDN in preparation for the match. “They want to think and they want to copy us.”

What was said after the game?

“Yeah, I knew he had it,” said Weah, who assisted Pulisic’s header in the second half. “Me and DeAndre the day before asked the kit guys to do it for him.”

Pulisic, meanwhile, declined to add further to the controversy but told reporters: “I think you know the message.”

The USMNT star added that he believes the United States sent a message as a group as they clinched their third victory of the year against their fierce rivals.

“I think we have earned their respect,” he said. “The last two times we’ve played them they understand what we’re talking about and we understand what they’re talking about. That’s what makes a great rivalry.

“And I’m really glad we were able to come out on top tonight. We knew it would be a good game against Mexico and three points help us get closer to qualifying for the World Cup.”
